How the machine works

The screw feeder type SD700 is a vertically operating screw feeder for dosing powders and granulates (including poor-flowing and dusty products).
The replaceable dosing screw usually conveys the product through the screw tube directly into a prefabricated bag.

All parts that come into contact with the product are made of stainless steel and FDA-approved materials. the screw speed can be adjusted up to 3000 rpm. the dosing unit is driven by a servo motor whose drive shaft is directly connected to the dosing screw as an extension. The dosing quantity is calculated by multiplying the “aisle volume” by the number of screw revolutions per dosing process. the screw revolutions are freely adjustable. the dosing unit is equipped with a “cross screw” that conveys the product from a product feed or a storage container into the dosing hopper, thus decoupling the filling process from product fluctuations in the storage area. a level detection system keeps the fill level in the dosing hopper constant. The refilling rhythm is adjustable.
