This is how DOSING works

The screw feeder type SD550 is a vertically operating screw feeder for dosing powders and granulates (also poor-flowing and dusty).
The replaceable dosing screw usually conveys the product through the screw tube directly into a prefabricated bag.

All parts that come into contact with the product are made of stainless steel and FDA-approved materials.
The screw speed is adjustable up to 3000 rpm.
The dosing unit is driven by a servo motor whose drive shaft is directly connected to the dosing screw in an extension. The agitator is driven by a separate three-phase motor.
The dosing quantity results from: “aisle volume” times the number of screw revolutions per dosing process.
The screw revolutions are freely adjustable.
The dosing unit is equipped with a “transverse screw”, which conveys the product from a product feed or a storage container into the dosing hopper and thus decouples the filling process from product fluctuations in the storage area.
The fill level in the dosing hopper is kept constant by a level detection system. The refilling rhythm is adjustable.
