THE STORY

Mr. Eckhard Merz founded the family company initially as a design office named Kobü Merz in the year 1971.

In 1979, Kobü MERZ became Merz Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, which Mr. Eckhard Merz successfully managed together with his wife Maria for over 50 years.

In 2002 Mr. Bernd Kirchhof was appointed as the third managing director and formed part of the management until 2016.

In der zweiten Generation leitet Herr Holger Merz das Familienunternehmen mit nunmehr über 100 hochqualifizierten Mitarbeitern.

Our service includes the development, design, manufacturing and sale of packaging machines and special machines / constructions for Stickpacks (small tubular bags) and 3-/4-side sealed bags. Our customers are placed in the tobacco / pharmaceutical / cosmetics / food and chemicals industry.

Thanks to the trust of our national and international customers in the reliability, flexibility and long service life of our machines, you can find MERZ machines in over 50 countries/nations with an export share of 70% all over the world.
